Heat Resistant Adhesive - This is a ready mixed tile cement specially formulated for high temperature conditions where ordinary tile cements are inadequate for the long term retention of tiles.
Appliactions - Heat Resistant Adhesive should be used for fixing tiles in areas behind boilers, solid fuel stoves, range cookers, and radiators; also suitable for fixing fibre rope seals to wood burning stove doors, because of the products excellent bonding qualities only a thin joint is required, ensuring that a repaired tile does not stand proud. Not suitable for use with marble. If the tiles are very porous they should be sealed on the back with a PVA before the Heat Resistant Adhesive is applied. You can also use our Heat Resistant Adhesive for repairing pottery and bonding glass to metal.
How To Use - Heat Resistant Adhesive should be used straight from the tub having stired the contents into a smooth paste. A thin coasting should be made on each of the surfaces to be joined and the usrfaces the pressed firmly together. The cement will normally dry overnight but it is beneficial if the joint can be heated to some degree. When applying on a frsh cement of plaster surface, it is important to seal the surface using a concrete sealer before applying the adhesive, otherwise bonding may be impaired. Surplus Heat Resistant Adhesive must be removed immediately from any surfaces with a damp cloth.
