These decorative fire screens are intended to brighten up any unlit fireplace. They must not be used anywhere near a working gas or solid fuel fire, as the lead used within the screen will warp and bend out shape. This is not a design defect, it is not designed to be used with working fires and as such should be treated as a purely decorative fire screen.
