Grenadier Iziko Lokubasela Wood Stove

The name, Iziko Lokubasela, means ‘the place where you make fire’ and, with the African mask, is a reminder of the fireplaces’ ethnic origins. Each piece is hand made and decorated by African craftsmen. The ceramic is press moulded then hand sculptured. Certain models are decorated with ethnic markings then each Iziko is kiln fired to 1200°C and allowed to cool naturally. This process, combined with the unique properties of the specially formulated ceramic ensures against cracking during use. Whether in a traditional inglenook or a highly contemporary lounge, the Iziko turns a fireplace into a real feature.


Each Grenadier Iziko Lokubasela Wood Stove is available in a choice of three finishes, Red, Earth or Crackle White. Each model comes with an traditional African mask imprinted into the stove above the firebox opening. Each Iziko generates a nominal heat output of 8.5kW and produces very little ash when burning wood. All models come complete with a handmade wrought iron stand, and can easily be connected into a chimney using the standard 125mm (5”) flue pipe connection at the top of the stove.
