Fireplace Tiles
A Natural Stone Hearth is the natural choice when looking for a hearth to compliment your new stove. Machined stone, be it limestone, yorkstone, gritstone or sandstone, provides a durable and flat surface which will take the general abuse involved in burning a real fire.
Contrary to popular belief, natural stone is not difficult to keep clean. For light marking, a rub with a damp cloth is usually sufficient, and warm soapy water and a scrubbing brush will see off all but the most stubborn marks. If that fails, the stone can be brought back to "as new" with the application of warm soapy water, a carborundum stone (bought at hardware stores for sharpening knives and chisels) and a generous helping of elbow grease.
