Buying an AGA doesn’t simply result in a superb stove becoming a part of your home – you become a member of the AGA family, part of decades of heritage, innovation and ingenious design. The Much Wenlock multifuel stove is no exception. Its timeless appeal and lavish features make this stove a popular, high quality asset to your home.
Active Airflow Technology
AGA’s Active Air Wash System maintains a clean viewing window whilst ensuring a clean burn on the Much Wenlock Classic. Air is pulled in from below the bed of fuel, creating the perfect conditions for burning both wood and smokeless coal. Before any unburnt fuel has the chance to exit the stove and into the chimney, they are reignited. This not only provides added heat, it ensures you get the very most from your fuel as well reducing the emissions released by the stove. The air is introduced to the Much Wenlock Classic’s firebox through the primary air wheel on the door and secondly through the air slider above the door. There is also a third air supply using a lever on the right hand side of the stove which activates the secondary air into the airwash.
Strong, Reliable, Robust - AGA
The cast-iron body of the AGA Much Wenlock Classic has been individually moulded and hand-finished by skilled craftsmen. Cast-iron has excellent heat retention properties, meaning your stove will continue to release heat into your room even as the fire fades to embers. The striking wired handle is carried across from the culturally significant AGA range cookers and provides a cool-to-touch operation of the door.
Tried, Tested and Approved
The multifuel Much Wenlock Classic stove has been approved be HETAS who are the official governing body recognised by the government to approve solid fuel domestic heating appliances such as stoves. The Active Airwash System controls how air is introduced into the stove and using the precision-engineered spin-wheels, the AGA Much Wenlock Classic provides superb control of the air entering the firebox, meaning you have maximum control. The Much Wenlock has a nominal output of 5.5kW and maximum output of 8.3kW making it ideal for medium sized rooms.
AGA, one of the biggest brand names in the world, and certainly the most well-known range cooker company, but they also make wood burning, multifuel and boiler stoves. In 2006 AGA bought the well-established and historical Coalbrookdale Foundry in Ironbridge which was where iron ore was first smelted by Abraham Darby.
