Inset Gas Fires

Inset Gas Fires

Traditional, cosy and easy to install, inset gas fires ooze charm and practicality. Usually installed into a larger fireplace, most inset fires will fit into a standard 16" x 22" British fireplace opening. Inset gas fires are available to suit conventional class 1 and 2 brick chimneys. We also offer a number of balanced flue inset gas fires which can be placed agianst an external wall and the flue simply terminates outside, negating the need for a chimney. Flueless inset gas fires on the other hand can be placed virtually anywhere making them perfect for basements or rooms without chimneys.

Hearth mounted fires are aptly named, they are typically installed into a fireplace and sit upon a hearth, this does not necessarily mean the fire will be inset into a fireplace as it could be freestanding in front, but will definitely require a hearth. Choose from gas or electric to solid fuel, our selection is as varied as it is extensive.

This style of fire is ideal for those who want to make a statement, to have the sort of grand stately room that you might see in a period drama.    Electric fires have come on in leaps and bounds in recent years, forget the poor effects, the red bulbs and ribbons, today LED and LCD electric fires dominate the market, providing stunning visuals and soft warmth. Gas fires are similarly effective, with a range of fuel effects such as pebbles, wood and glass that allow you to customise the gas fire according to your tastes and your interior. Or take the traditional route and burn wood or coal for that quintessential fireplace feel.

Whatever your requirements or needs we will have a hearth mounted fire ideally suited to you, we have put together one of the largest collections of hearth mounted fires online to date. If you're having trouble finding your ideal fire, try using our comprehensive Fire Finder tool, simply input your requirements and let the tool do all the hard work. Happy browsing!
