We have a wide selection of flues, liners, twinwall, adapters, flashings, cowls available. Stove owners can choose from our single wall stove pipe, register plates, flexible chimney liner, chimney pot and a cowl all of which can be used and are available here in our flue store. We also have a range of decorative flue pipes, flue pipe boilers, insulation and fans available. Whether you need an entire system or just an adapter, you will find it at Fireplace Products.
Unless you have a flueless appliance, all stoves, fires or cookers will require some form of flue in order for it to work. All wood burning, multifuel or solid fuel appliance will require some kind of flue. Depending upon where you are placing your stove, fireplace, cooker or fire will determine which kind you require. If you already have an existing chimney and it is of sound construction you will need to connect your appliance into the chimney. This is usually done with single wall flue pipe, typically vitreous enamel or stainless steel single wall pipe.
If your chimney is old, altered, or dilapidated then you will most likely need to line your chimney with a flexible chimney liner. There are two main kinds of flexible chimney liner often referred to as 316/316 or 904/904, these numbers tell you the grade of steel that is used on both the inner and outer coils that make up these liners. Adaptors are available to connect flexible liners onto vitreous or stainless steel flue pipes, and can be connected into existing chimney pots or rain caps.
If you do not have an existing chimney where you wish to place your stove, fireplace, cooker, or fire then you can either construct one using a new clay or pumice lined system. Or if you would rather something more contemporary than a traditional looking chimney, then you could use a twinwalled double insulated flue pipe. These insulated twinwall flue pipes can be placed very close to combustible materials and allow for easy installation almost anywhere.
Adaptors are available to connect onto vitreous enamel or stainless steel single wall flue or even directly onto your appliance. There are various lengths and bends in a variety of diameters with a selection or supports, flashing, and fire rated components to allow easy passage through floors, walls or roofs. Available in stainless steel as standard and matt black on selected diameters, all twinwall double insulated flues can be powder coated to be more in-keeping with your home and its surroundings.
Fireplace Products also features a wide selection of additional items, accessories and other flue related components. Our selection of decorative flues are great for electric stoves, as well as our flue pipe covers and boxing that fit around flue pipes and offer a more contemporary look.
We supply adapters to connect two pieces of pipe together, and can help with unusual flue pipe diameters that need an adapter to connect it to a standard size pipe diameter. We offer flue pipe boilers that use the waste flue gases to produce hot water for heating, flue dampers to help stabilise flue draughts and flue boxes for inset gas fires so you can connect a liner on to an open fronted fire.
Chimneys, pots, cowls, rain caps, birdguards and other terminals are used to finish a flue run, or protect an unused chimney stack from unwanted feathered friends. Insulation is used on larger chimneys and can be wrapped round liners or poured down loose to help insulate the liner against the cold. Register and closure plates help block off chimneys openings and are used with a variety of stoves and fires, as are roof flashings when you have a pipe penetrating through a wall or roof, using one of our flashings will give your roof another layer of protection against the elements. Talking of the elements, chimneys are not an exact science, draws and pressures vary dramatically depending upon where they are installed and in some extreme cases you may need to put a chimney fan atop your stack to help improve the draw of the chimney.
If you have a gas fire, stove or cooker it may have a balanced flue outlet. Balanced flues provide an inlet for fresh air into the fire and an exhaust for the waste gases to be removed, all inside one pipe. Balanced flue systems have fixed internal and external diameters that should be carefully matched up.
Power flue is similar to balanced flue in that it does not require a traditional chimney with a draught to remove the waste gasses. Instead the terminal section that fits against the outside wall has a built-in fan that helps remove the waste gases and expel them outside.
Flues and all of their associated components are often tricky to understand, so we would always suggest speaking with an approved heating engineer prior to purchase to confirm you are ordering the correct items. We pride ourselves on the knowledge that we have and will openly share that information with you. If you find a flue item that we don't currently have on our website or if you are unsure about a product or its features, please contact a member of our sales team and ask the question.
