The Jotul FS91 is set into a lightweight concrete surround mixed with Olivine sand. This mixture has a very high thermal capacity, allowing the stove to hold onto the heat of the fire and release it slowly over the coming hours.
The Jotul FS91 has external air capabilities. This draws fresh air in directly from outside into the fire instead of using up the oxygen in the room. If you have a stove with a nominal output greater than 5kW you will require additional room ventilation, usually in the form of an air brick. However, an external air supply will, in most cases, eliminate the need for an air brick.
