The Portway 3 Traditional multifuel stove has been designed for the more traditional stove owner with a high quality cast iron stove top, traditional door and cast iron feet for a more classical look. It features a large viewing window and is exceptionally easy to operate with detachable magnetic handle that can open the door and adjust the air controls.
Portway stoves began in the early 1800's when the owner of an ironmongery store first saw an metal stove in North America. He drew inspiration from this and built his own stove to heat is store based in Halstead. Charles Portway's design proved to be so successful that Mr. Portway set up a small foundry manufacturing solid fuel stoves and did so right up till the 1980's without much alteration.
