The Stovax fibreglass hard rope seal is used for replacing door and glass seals on wood burning and multifuel stoves, cookers, and fires. It can also be used on flue pipes, register plates and lots of other applications, where you need to create a smoke tight joint between two different surfaces. Stove rope is used in constructing cast-iron wood burners, and seals each section together. Available in several sizes and a choice of white or black colours so you can choose the right diameter rope and the right colour to match your stove or other appliance. Hard rope is more rigid and doesn’t have much give. Harder ropes are often found in stoves and other appliances around doors and glass. It is always best to check the rigidity of your existing rope prior to purchase.
Established in 1981 Stovax was setup to design, manufacture and distribute stoves, fireplaces and accessories across the UK and Ireland. Based in Exeter, in 1988 the decision to incorporate gas and electric models into the range and to build them onsite in the heart of Devon was taken. Gazco was born. Today the two companies work side by side and have expanded their product portfolio ten-fold.
