Vitcas 20KG Heat Resistant Plaster is high temperature smooth finish render which provides protection up to 650°C (1200°F). Where gypsum plaster would not stand up to the high temperatures, this Heat Resistant Plaster should be used in areas subject to intense heat. For use around the opening of cassette fireplaces and adjacent to wood burning stoves and range cookers, it should be noted that normal mixing and applying procedures used for gypsum plaster do not apply to heat resistant plaster. Vitcas have been manufacturing their high quality heat resistant products in Bristol since 1882. Using tried and tested traditional formulations and tweaking them with the latest technology, Vitcas are specialists in high temperature applications. A 10kg tub of Vitcas Heat Resistant Plaster will cover approximately 2m² (20ft²) at a thickness of 6mm (¼"). Please note this plaster dries a light grey colour.
Application: Vitcas Heat Resistant Plaster should be mixed with cold water to a useable consistency. It is important to ensure no traces of ordinary Portland cement or gypsum plaster is on the tools used to mix the Heat Resistant Plaster. After taking care to not mix the material too wet, a 3-6mm thickness should be applied evenly and without featheredges. Due to the dense and non-porous surface, the material cannot be sanded and therefore the surface finish must be obtained during floatation with a trowel.
Disclaimer: Always read the instructions thoroughly before applying and keep out of reach of children and pets.
